The District Council of Elbasan awarded the “Gratitude of the County” title to the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Albania as an appreciation for his contributions to the region as well as his efforts to promote and consolidate bilateral relations between Kuwait and Albania.

The award decision was awarded during a ceremony organized by the Major of Elbasan County Council, Bukurosh Stafa to Honor Kuwait Ambassador to Albania His Excellency Mr. Fayez Mishari Al Jassim.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Al-Jassim held a speech where he expressed his deep gratitude for receiving this award, which he described as a reverence for Kuwait and the Kuwait Embassy in Tirana. Al-Jassim emphasized that this title comes as an appreciation for the diplomacy of the State of Kuwait, the humanitarian activity undertaken by Kuwait, which is a fundamental part of its foreign policy. The ambassador emphasized that this title, at the same time, reflects the advanced stage of the relations between the two friendly countries in all areas.

For his part, the Major of Elbasan County Council, Bukurosh Stafa emphasized the importance of the special role, as well as the effective contributions of Kuwaiti Ambassador Fayez Mishari Al Jassim to Elbasan, and also the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

Stafa noted that the award of the title ” Gratitude of the County” of Elbasan to Ambassador Fayez Mishari Al Jassim comes as an appreciation for this role and expressed his best wishes to Ambassador Fayez Mishari Al Jassim for further success in his assignment.

At the reception of the Ambassador was Mufti Agim Duka, Prefect of Elbasan Mr. Gledian Llatja and Mayor of Elbasan Mr. Qazim Sejdini.

The proposal for the title of recognition was made by Myftinia Elbasan and other civil society actors.
