PROJECT : “VOLUNTEERING IS HUMANISM” 09.11.2017

Today on 09.11.2017, International Co-Operative Center (ICC) in collaboration with Women’s Center for Developent and Culture and with Elbasan district DAR, has developed a joint voluntary student initiative  under the slogan “Volunteering is humanism”.Volunteering is an expression of individual freedom for a wider collective interest that represents the most humane act of a society and significantly affects the improvement of the quality of life of citizens. Volunteering for good work should be the leitmotif and push us as citizens to never cease performing charity in the service of people in need. This is an initiative that at the core of it has the development of human feelings and civic accountability, the return of young people’s attention to the service they can make to the community we live in, the people in need and especially the children in need. Volunteering increases accountability among young people and prepares them for a safer tomorrow. The future requires responsible citizens to further develop the society, “We as a Women’s Center have taken this initiative to find ourselves as close as possible to the children, to give them the right to equal lives”.  ” Volunteering is humanism “This project aims at activating students and young people in general in volunteering as well as in sensitizing the vast amount of humanity to children in need. Volunteering or work in the community is a personal obligation that is increasingly being embraced by young people “- said among other things the president of WCDC, Rudina Çollaku. A short speech was also given by the Mayor of Elbasan district Bukurosh Stafa, the deputy mayor Ervin Saraçi, and the director of DAR Elbasan, regional education directorate Jonida Cungu who emphasized the importance of charity, volunteering and awareness of young people on such days.
